I currently work as the K-8 librarian for Gower School District 62. This is my 15th year in public education; I previously taught middle school language arts before moving into the library 3 years ago.

The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.

Our library is meant to be a collective space for the entire community to use, so we must ensure that policies continue to be inclusive and welcoming to patrons of all backgrounds. The board will also have some important decisions to make about possible expansions to the library building this next year, and I am excited to be a part of the process.
