The single most pressing issue facing Alsip, and this is what I intend to do about it.

Pension and health care. Pension by far is the toughest task on hand. The Collective Bargaining Agreement is negotiated by union officials and the Village. These negotiations are always challenging. At this point in time I don’t have a clear-cut answer, but I will be up to challenge when elected. As far as Health Care, I believe in making our work environment as safe as possible. Training on proper ergonomics is essential. A basic slide presentation on an annual basis would be beneficial. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

Accountability, period. They have not shown any accountability in the past four years. Clerks office can’t keep with council minutes, Trustees not understanding “Roberts Rule of Order” proper parliamentary procedures because they chose not to get training. When elected, I will make it mandatory for all newly elected officials to get training on Parliamentary procedures. This will be one of the first items on my agenda.

If you are a challenger, in what way has the current board or officeholder failed the community (or district or constituency).
