The single most pressing issue facing Alsip, and this is what I intend to do about it.

The biggest issue Alsip faces, as with many communities, is pension obligations. We need to continue to bring in business development. There is an opportunity to further develop the Cicero Avenue corridor to bring in greater revenue. The Village has seen an excellent return on the investment it made on Pulaski, it’s now time to concentrate our efforts on Cicero. I also believe there are ways that the Village can be more efficient – more efficiency means more savings!

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

My knowledge of technology and business background is what sets me apart from the opposing candidates. I work for one of the largest privately held industrial distribution companies in the country with over 30 locations throughout the Midwest. For years I’ve been tasked with keeping the company running smoothly and increasing profitability by making smart, critical and effective long- and short-term decisions. Additionally, once elected I will take advantage of the free training available to elected officials and advocate that taking this training is a requirement of our elected officials going forward. If you attend or watch the Board meetings, you can tell that certain candidates do not possess this knowledge and our community has suffered because of that. I believe my IT and business background as well as my willingness and desire to continue my education for the betterment of Alsip residents makes me an excellent choice to make decisions on their behalf as Trustee.
