The Prime Minister noted the recent Cabinet approval of a 23,000 rupee package to improve the infrastructure for testing and treatment, saying the package would help strengthen the health infrastructure in the northeast. He said the package facilitates testing, diagnosis and genomic sequencing in the northeast.

The Prime Minister emphasized the need for rapidly increasing beds, oxygen facilities and pediatric medical infrastructure in the northeast.

He reported through PM-CARES that hundreds of oxygen plants have been established in the country and about 150 plants in the northeast. The Prime Minister requested the Prime Minister to complete the process of quickly establishing these factories.

The Prime Minister emphasized the need to establish a temporary hospital due to the geographical situation in the northeast.
