At the review meeting, officials informed the Prime Minister and Minister of Health of Delhi that the first phase of the project was ready by the end of this year and could be implemented early next year.

In one of the most ambitious health projects of the Government of Delhi, health cards will be issued in the names of all residents of Delhi and a special investigation will be conducted by the government. This will allow all residents of Delhi to take advantage of government medical services. After issuance, the e-health card will be integrated with HIMS.

The system allows doctors to use the card to check the patient’s medical history and allows the patient to make an appointment from home.

Arvind Kejriwal has instructed officers to review the progress of the project with Health Minister Satyendar Jain and expedite the work.

Officers also said that the RFP Committee for the Health e-Card project outlined and reviewed the RFP.

The government will conduct state-wide surveys to allow all citizens to create e-Health cards. Cards are also created at hospitals and other dedicated centers and distributed through visit campaigns.

The e-Health card includes the entire medical history of the cardholder and can be treated at any hospital in the HIMS system. The government is trying to introduce HIMS in all public hospitals in Delhi as soon as possible. Private hospitals will also be connected in stages. After that, Delhi will be the only state in the country to have a cloud-based health care system. (ANI)
