Hundreds of thousands of Ethiopian “regular and irregular fighters” have launched coordinated assaults in several respects, according to a statement from the Tigray Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It blamed Ethiopian troops and troops in the Amhara region of the country where much of the recent fighting took place after the Tigray troops regained much of their area in June.
