SPRINGFIELD, IL. (ECWd) –
Get caught doing things not permitted under the law?
Don’t let that stop you . . . change the damn thing and hope nobody notices . . . but only change it for the topic of the day and nothing else.
This amendment will permit you to have the right to a conscience about every medical procedure under the sun, except for COVID shots and tests.
The Center Square has a good article on this Amendment (here).
Today, House Amendment 2, to Senate Bill 1169 was filed today by State Representative Robyn Gabel.
From the Amendment:
Section 5. The Health Care Right of Conscience Act is amended by adding Section 13.5 as follows:
Sec. 13.5. Violations related to COVID-19 requirements. It is not a violation of this Act for any person or public official, or for any public or private association, agency, corporation, entity, institution, or employer, to take any measures or impose any requirements, including, but not limited to, any measures or requirements that involve provision of services by a physician or health care personnel, intended to prevent contraction or transmission of COVID-19 or any pathogens that result in COVID-19 or any of its subsequent iterations. It is not a violation of this Act to enforce such measures or requirements, including by terminating employment or excluding individuals from a school, a place of employment, or public or private premises in response to noncompliance.
This Section is a declaration of existing law and shall not be construed as a new enactment. Accordingly, this Section shall apply to all actions commenced or pending on or after the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 102nd General Assembly. Nothing in this Section is intended to affect any right or remedy under federal law.

ReplyWhy don’t they follow the science and recognize natural immunity. I see nothing in this amendment about that. It’s not about health, it’s only about ultimate power

ReplyThe lagging Chicagoland Representative Roybin seeks to tail wag the state and the general public. It’s an “Are you smarter than a 5th grader” amendment that makes me seriously wonder if Rep Roybin is among the unconscionable statehouse reps that cut in front of the elderly earlier this year.
The language “subsequent iterations” flies an abuse of discretion in the house.

ReplyJust like the tyrannical Illinois democrats to try and punish us for using our constitutionally protected God given rights and liberty. Robyn, the Illinois state Bill of Rights protects our rights from the dictatorial Illinois govt, that means you!

ReplyThank you, my spouse and I completed a witness slip opposing this. Also, contacted our state rep, Halbrook and our senator, Chapin Rose. People, step up and shout against this. This is going on in Lithuania, segregating non vaccinated from services, restaurants, no medical care unless it’s an emergency. Don’t wait.
