Washington-The Pentagon hit Microsoft on Tuesday when the Pentagon announced that it would abolish the US $ 10 billion JEDI cloud computing project’s Trump era award.

The government will place new bids to allow multiple companies, including rival Amazon.com, to compete.

In November 2019, Microsoft defeated its favorite Amazon in a contract called Joint Enterprise Defense Infrastructure Cloud (JEDI), which is part of the extensive modernization of the Pentagon’s information technology system.

The timeline for important dates leading up to the award is as follows:
