“These institutions should focus on facilitating and holding small businesses. They should act as a single point of contact for all entrepreneurs and investors,” said Maha Patra. It will also facilitate them to take advantage of various support from the government in accordance with general provisions.
In addition, the Executive Secretary instructed collectors to play an active role in promoting SMEs in their respective districts. “MSME is the driving force of economic growth, and promotion in the district will bring about fair growth,” added Maha Patra. It has been decided that DIPA will be managed by three experts under the direct supervision of each collector. The industry’s chief secretary, Hemant Kumar Sharma, said the first phase of pilot guidance could begin by August.
